ALYSS is a multidisciplinary artist synthesising voice, music and visual systems.
Through electronic production, piano composition, and hand-drawn geometry, ALYSS builds physical and digital worlds that meet where immediate reality ends. Drawing from dreams, meditations, and the strange synchronicities of the subconscious, her work is both a translation and network for processing the invisible.
Music came first. A classically trained pianist and violinist, ALYSS began singing in weddings and hotels before going on to release music with Universal Music, Columbia Records and PMR Records (Disclosure, Jessie Ware), earning BBC Radio 1's Hottest Record and later composing with the London Contemporary Orchestra at Abbey Road Studios.
Her background is defined by a unique duality. She was raised between a father who plays violin for the Royal Opera House, surrounded by astrology, manuscripts, inventions, and UFO discourse, and a mother who was a "larger-than-life" socialite, working day and night in care for people of all ages and needs.
From this, ALYSS inherited a rare vocabulary. One side gave her a language for subjects outside the norm, pattern recognition, and symbolism; the other grounded her in presence, humour, and the complexity of human dynamics.
It was this fusion that birthed Astroc0des. What began as a meditative practice with a gold pen, compass, and ruler evolved into an intricate merging of esoterica, cymatics and geometry.
Each c0de is hand-drawn using a mix of technical structure and intuitive listening through which she crafts the specific, one-of-a-kind astrological circuit of a human, building, place, or event.
Whether through songwriting, soundscapes, or geometric lines, the core of her work is an ongoing conversation with the realities "between", ancient-future memory, and ultimately what it means to actually feel at home in oneself.
ALYSS creates not just for expression’s sake, but to offer a sanctuary for those who refuse to bypass the uncomfortable parts of being human; who know that something wordless, yet essential, exists beyond the limits of the current zeitgeist.
