These songs were written between 2015 and 2022 - across different relational lifetimes that pulled me apart and pieced me back together again.I haven’t had many relationships, but the ones I have - until recently - were minefields of love, anxiety, passion, rage, and the torture of emotional and physical abuse.

 

I think we can all agree that relationships in all their forms are the most complicated place on earth. They’re the mirror where every hidden gremlin gets revealed.

 

Where we heal and die and heal and die again and again and again until the reflection stops hurting. Until we finally meet peace. Because that’s what it’s all for, isn’t it? To meet ourselves through another.

 

Our parents don’t hand us manuals (they didn't have one either), so we learn by mirroring, by surviving, by loving the wrong ones until we remember what’s right for us. If we’re lucky, we get to re-pattern the stories we were born into - to stop the inheritance mid-air.

 

I was terrified to release these songs for years. I thought I had to wait until I was “healed.” But healing isn’t a finish line - it’s a purposeful upwards-spiral.

 

When I listen back, I don’t just hear pain anymore. I actually hear knowing. I hear a woman seeing clearly, even when she thought she was lost. I hope, as you listen, these songs bring you strength, courage and confirmation of your own becoming.
