Astroc0des are hand-drawn visual works based on astrology, geometry, and listening.

This page shares the story and philosophy behind the work, as well as my own healing journey.

WHERE IT BEGAN.

Astroc0des didn’t begin as Astroc0des.

This way of drawing began quite out of the blue in 2014 as a meditative practice in between making music. Each afternoon after lunch, I’d sit in my little Brighton flat at a tiny, wobbly round table by the window with my compass, ruler, and black pad, and just let the pen move where it wanted to go.

At the same time, I'd be listening to talks by people like Dolores Cannon, Graham Hancock, Greg Braden, Terence McKenna, and Bashar. I was absorbing and being blown open by so much new information and so many new ways of looking at reality. The more I listened, the more intricate and precise the pieces became, even if I didn't know what they meant or what they were 'of'.

To this day, I still can’t fully explain where it all came from or what made me draw in this way. As a little girl, I drew fairies and sassy alien women - not abstract geometric shapes. It felt as though something in my brain switched on quite suddenly.

For the most part, I kept the drawings on the walls around my bed, just to look at them each morning when I woke up. I was also curious whether I might learn more from them in my dreams. I never planned to do anything with them - they were just there, 'watching'.

As time went on, I started creating them as birthday gifts for friends and family. I would think of the person and let the pen do its thing. There was no astrology involved in the drawing process at that point, but I would often use gold stickers to write their numerology life path number and their sun, moon, and rising signs underneath the main piece.

That changed when a friend asked if I could create a bespoke piece based specifically on someone’s astrology chart as a birthday gift. Something shifted then.

I realised I knew far more than I’d ever consciously acknowledged in terms of the symbolic language of astrology. Through years of conversations with my Dad - who studied astrology with Liz Greene in the 1960s - and a long (and slightly obsessive) absorption of esoteric books, systems, and listening to many different astrologers, it became clear that I already had the information I needed to translate someone’s chart into a multi-layered symbolic piece.

WHAT EXACTLY IS ASTROLOGY?

Astrology is a language - and sadly, a very misunderstood one.

In the modern world, most people have only encountered it in its most diluted form: a sun-sign horoscope tucked into the back of a magazine. But at its core, astrology is a rich, multi-layered field of knowledge that brings together mathematics, science, geometry, psychology, cyclical time, alchemy, poetry, and symbolism into a single body of understanding.

It’s a system that describes how the physical and non-physical interact and organise themselves in ways that are both observable and measurable.

I tend to think of an astrology chart like a barcode - a snapshot of the exact energetic conditions through which someone or something has materialised into form.

Everything has an astrology chart: a person, a table, an individual leaf, an event, even an idea. Anything that exists came into being at a specific moment in time, and that moment leaves behind a unique energetic signature.

THE ROLE OF PLASMA / AETHER.

When we begin to explore the fifth state of matter - often referred to as aether or plasma - subjects like astrology, which are frequently labelled as abstract or “out there” by modern science, begin to sit in a different context. Phenomena such as telepathy, distance healing, remote viewing, and synchronicity also become easier to frame when viewed through this lens.

Aether is often described as the medium through which everything else exists - based on the idea that there is no such thing as truly empty space. Rather than behaving as a passive void, it operates holographically, meaning the whole is present in every part, without the need for time or distance to transmit information. This holographic quality allows for instantaneous communication across systems, regardless of scale.

This is the field Nikola Tesla was working with and developing technology through - much to the frustration of his financiers, who eventually withdrew funding once it became clear his work would make metered energy obsolete.

Aether is also understood to move in spiral or toroidal patterns, often associated with the golden ratio. We see these patterns everywhere in nature - from snail shells and galaxies to plant growth and economic cycles. When viewed through this lens, the idea that celestial bodies mirror information about our personal and collective reality feels far less abstract.

Reality itself is geometrical by nature - and so is the foundation of astrology. When we strip away meaning-making and interpretation, astrology is ultimately describing the geometric relationship between all things.

I’ve never found another system that gives such depth of voice to the language of personal and collective life cycles, relationship dynamics, and self-actualisation in quite the same way.

Astrologer Howard Sasportas once said:
“Anything you hide in the basement has a way of burrowing under the house and showing up on the front lawn.”

Astrology is a powerful tool for recognising what’s already at work beneath the surface.

WHAT AN ASTROC0DE IS.

Astroc0des have grown alongside me as my understanding has expanded. In many ways, it’s all been a big backwards-engineering process.

Most of us look at an astrology chart, see a tangle of lines, numbers, and symbols, and have no real sense of how to relate to it.

The geometry and symbolism within an Astroc0de are there to help someone feel into themselves and into the language of their chart on a more visceral level - without needing to mentally decode what everything means.

Looking at geometry helps the nervous system feel safe. Quite simply, we are made of geometry - from our cells to the shape of our ears. It’s something the body recognises instinctively, without words. From that place of felt safety, everything else in us can begin to find its centre again.

That’s the core purpose of an Astroc0de: to act as a visual companion - something a person can return to again and again as a centring, zero point zone.

In this sense, Astroc0des go beyond the astrology chart itself. I use the chart as an initial reference point, but it isn’t what makes someone alive. Essence doesn’t live in planetary placements or symbols. Our essence exists far beyond this material construct of reality.

An Astroc0de points toward the specific key we've used to enter and navigate this matrix - and just as importantly, the way back out.

(I highly recommend reading "Exit The Cave" by Howdie Mickoski for more info on 'that' topic).

HOW AN ASTROC0DE IS MADE.

Before I begin an Astroc0de, I spend time with the chart and then tune into the person or moment it’s based on - quite literally singing, sensing, and noticing what arises in my body.

Often, just before the pencil meets the paper, I’ll see a sudden image in my mind's eye that can best be described as cymatics - the geometric patterns formed when sound moves through matter. A simple example is when you see rice placed on a speaker, or a bowl of water nearby, forming precise shapes as the frequency changes.

That cymatic image in my mind gives me an initial direction. Does this c0de call for sharper, more direct forces? Or softer, more rounded ones? From there, the shapes dance and weave the astrology, the geometry and the symbols together in to one cohesive circuit.

What emerges at the end is always a surprise to me. I often can’t fully take in a finished Astroc0de until I write the description days later. Even then, there are layers that may only feel obvious to the person it is intended for.

While there is skill involved - which I’ve refined over time - the essence of the work feels largely out of my hands. My main role is to listen, not interfere, and trust what’s asking to come through for the individual and their path

ON EVOLUTION AND COLOUR.

Astroc0des were originally created exclusively in black and gold, continuing the palette of my earlier drawings. For a long time, I didn’t question it. It felt simple, contained, and to the point.

If anything, I held onto it quite tightly, despite many people suggesting I explore more colours. I can be very stubborn like that.

In 2024, more and more people began asking for their Astroc0des in colour. By then, my resistance was already softening. The black and gold had felt integral, almost protective, but as I began easing some of the rigidity I carried toward myself in other areas of life, it became clear the c0des were asking to open too.

Once I allowed colour in, everything changed. Now, almost everyone orders their Astroc0de in full colour, and witnessing that evolution has been very moving.

The gold still forms the core weaving of each piece, but the colour has made them feel even more alive, more layered, and more “Yes. Here I am.”

MUSIC, HEALING + COMING HOME.

I’ve now had the honour of creating over 1,000 Astroc0des. With every c0de, I understand a little more about what this work actually is and how it supports people.

Over time, Astroc0des have become a synthesis of everything I’ve explored in my own journey - free energy, sound therapy, Chinese medicine philosophy, magnetism, numerology, the meridian system, body coherence, self-worth practices, biogeometry, natural law, and indigenous wisdom, particularly from the Kogi people and their relationship to the Earth. To me, all of these threads point toward the same remembering: that our essence exists far beyond the rigid systems we’re born into.

Deeper still, when I strip all of this back, Astroc0des really came at a time that has taken me many years to understand well enough to put into words.

Growing up in an emotionally distant, turbulent, and chaotic household, my nervous system learned early to be hyper-attuned to shifts in mood, alongside a strong sense of hyper-independence. Useful ingredients for creativity, perhaps - but a complicated foundation later in life.

Sitting at the piano when no one else was around was always my safe place. It was where my full heart and soul could pour out without having to be on hyper-alert for anyone else.

Music still forms the root of everything I create, but looking back, before Astroc0des came on the scene, my entire identity lived there.

As music success and career opportunities grew, so did the impact of rejection. Every small setback and perceived failure cut deeply. I didn’t have a thick skin because there was nowhere else for my sense of self to land.

The music industry - with its constant judgement, comparison and comparison - amplified wounds I’d been carrying since I was a young girl. Rejection hit old places. My sensitivity stayed raw and exposed, with very little buffer.

When my relationship with the industry finally broke down after a long and arduous legal battle with a major record label in 2019 - alongside being in an abusive relationship - that’s when Astroc0des appeared. I couldn’t see it clearly at the time, but they were a saving grace in many ways, giving me something solid to stand on as everything else fell away.

I remember a dream where I was playing a grand piano, but my artwork was falling onto the keys, stopping me from playing properly. For a long time, I interpreted that dream as betrayal - as though by focusing on visual art, I was abandoning music.

It was actually signalling the beginning of a major course correction.

The ego war continued to wage on. It felt as though art and music were competing. My identity as “just” a music artist was crumbling, yet I didn’t know how to hold all of myself at once. I knew Astroc0des mattered deeply, but I didn’t yet know how to integrate everything - how to let this side of me live with the music.

Like most businesses, the industry needs boxes to easily market things, but it became clear I never fit neatly into just one. I'd write big emotional piano ballads (happy record label) and then make abstract elecronic instrumental tracks (not happy record label) and then spend months designing a tarot deck (label gone).

For years, I believed that tension meant I was doing something wrong. I can see now that it was only me trying to contain myself.

Despite this internal split, I carried on releasing both music and art. I noticed people who came for the art stayed for the music, and people who came for the music embraced the art with open arms.

Looking back, the Astroc0des were never blocking the music. They actually helped me build a body and a centre strong enough to hold and truly find more of myself within it.

I share all of this because the same way Astroc0des have taught me how to feel safe in myself through everything that was happening, I now see that this has always been their true purpose. Not as artworks or intellectual esoteric objects, but as literal mirroring tools of coherence and support when faced with chaos, grief, and reorientation.

From the feedback I’ve received time and time again, it seems they’ve offered the same kind of grounding for others too.

Now in my mid-thirties, as my nervous system has learned to settle and that chaotic baseline has lost its grip, I’ve realised something very simple: I feel the the most calm when I’m creating Astroc0des. For me, that’s the clearest marker that something good is happening.

Beyond any meaning-making about what they are or where they’ve come from, that’s what I hope they offer anyone who lives with one - a landing place to reset and come home to.

Because it’s from that deep internal safety in our own body, and bone-deep trust in our sense of self (something many of us may never have fully felt), that the rest of our lives - our relationships, work, and true purpose - can truly root and bloom.

The world conditions us to look everywhere else for safety but ourselves, to constantly leak our power away, and to operate from a place of doubt. But when we learn to source safety from within - when we bring back the parts of ourselves that were lost along the way - something fundamental rebalances. Not just internally, but collectively too.

I’m sure my understanding of this work will continue to evolve as I keep creating. There's many aspects to this work coming to mind now that I've missed in this writing. But, for now, this feels true enough to share with you.

In the spirit of uniting Astroc0des and music in a more literal way, soon I’ll also be introducing sound - offering an accompanying, bespoke piece of music for each Astroc0de.

More recently, I’ve also begun offering Reiki alongside Astroc0des, allowing people to form a deeper bond with their piece. This has taken the process into a much more embodied and intimate layer.
