Since I was 14, most of my life has been spent singing at the piano, at my laptop making music, and later creating visual systems. My foundation was shaped by a childhood split between my dad’s life as a violinist at the Royal Opera House, astrologer, and inventor, and my mother’s work in care for people of all ages and needs.
Teens were spent going to drum & bass house parties at the weekends and doing yoga in my tiny bedroom on school nights while listening to Songs in A Minor by Alicia Keys on repeat.
Everything I did - and still do - seems to exist as a hybrid of many different worlds.
After leaving college, I played piano and sang at weddings and hotels, then drove home at 2am listening to alien and conspiracy rabbit holes. A turning point came in 2016 after hearing field recordings by David Fanshawe - that experience permanently imprinted my approach to creating.
After a strange few years of some intense highs and lows, I'm spending more time with nature - building a collection of my own field recordings: singing at the sea, filming close-ups of leaves at night, sampling the atmosphere of specific-feeling days.
These textures are forming the heart of my current and upcoming projects.
